Uncertainty has a way of making life louder! Plans change, doors close, and news arrives that you didn’t expect. In those moments, you need faith.
Here’s how you can build unshakable faith in times of uncertainty.

Step 1: Build Your Spiritual Life
Psalm 46 reminds us: “God is our refuge and strength, a present help in trouble.” That’s why it’s good to build your spiritual life before the storm!
- Create a regular habit of prayer
- Read Scripture
- Worship even if your feelings are inconsistent
- Talk with trustworthy believers who will pray with you rather than feed your fear

Step 2: Surrender to His Plan
The second step is to separate what you can do from what you can’t. What you can do includes things like making the phone call, submitting the application, and having the difficult conversation. But the outcome you have to leave to God!

Get in the habit of praying the Lord’s Prayer in your closet with your bedroom door closed:
“Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Step 3: Be Prepared for A Change in Scenery
Faith doesn’t guarantee that every outcome will match your preference! A lot of times it’s actually the opposite: walking with God without knowing the ending. So be prepared!
Abraham went without knowing where he was going. Moses faced an impossible path. Esther stepped forward without certainty about the result.
You know the Lord’s hand is moving when things start changing, so be prepared for a different view!
