The key to trusting yourself is so simple that when I discovered it, I wondered why no one taught it in school.
In my business classes we learned that the greatest people follow their inner compass, obey their higher power, and never quit. Well obeying you higher power is pretty easy: love your neighbor, listen to your parents. But how does someone follow their inner compass? How can we tell the difference between intuition and fear?
And when it’s your business on the line, how can you know that the decisions you make will lead to success?
Those are good questions. You’re thinking like a true leader. Between my time in the military and running a business, I’ve learned that all those worries can be soothed through a little meditation.
But to feel actual confidence in your endeavors?
You’ll have to try following your own advice! Read on to learn how!

How to Trust Yourself
What Would You Tell Your Friend?
We all have a friend who, if they just followed our advice, would solve all the problems in their life. Break up with that guy. Stop hanging out with that girl. The obvious answer is right there, and yet they don’t listen. Why don’t they listen?
It’s because the obvious thing is not their answer.
But the certainty you have about your own advice?
That’s yours.

We are smarter than we think! That’s why we get frustrated when someone doesn’t heed our advice.
If you’re experiencing a problem in your business and don’t know where to turn, try stepping back from your situation. Get perspective!
Think about all the things you’ve heard and learned. If a friend or client came to you with the same challenge, what emotions would you feel? What questions would you ask?
Dig into your personal gold mine!
Break It Down!
Here’s the part where we make our knowledge stick: break your plan down into bite sized, actionable pieces.
Say you’ve designed a website for your business, but visitors never seem to make it past the home page. Your bounce rates are high and you know you need to get them down if you want to make any sales this month.
The simple answer is to fix the website! But you know that. The real question is how?
Break your plan down step by step. It might look something like:
1. Do a quick review of what works and what doesn’t.
2. Purchase a book or course about web design.
3. Follow the instructions to edit your site.
Finished!

Seek Wisdom!
Here’s the final step! Before you take action on your plan, pray and meditate. That’s what marks the difference between impulsivity and a methodical approach.
When you get quiet, you open your mind to accepting new information. Inspiration from above, knowledge you forgot you had, and brand new points of view make themselves available at the same time.
You might find that you missed something while developing your plan, uncovering a deeper solution. Or you might be filled with the peace and confidence of knowing you’re doing the right thing!
If you’re feeling a little nervous right now, don’t worry. Instead, get happy! Learning to trust yourself, especially when it comes to business, brings you into a new level of self love and confidence.
When you put yourself to the test, you succeed and fail on your own terms! That alone will make you into a better leader.
And you won’t fail. The Universe put that business on you heart because you and only you can do it. Trust your path!
That’s All! Trusting Yourself is Actually Easy, Right?
Say this with me: I am smart. I am insightful. My words inspire action and that action brings success. I was made on purpose, with purpose, and success is my middle name.
Whatever you’re thinking about right now, do it! Trust your instincts. You have all your gifts for a reason – rely on them and your dreams will come true!
I’m right there with you. I love you!
