The Faroe Islands
Halfway between Iceland and Norway lies one of Europe’s most peaceful landscapes!
The Faroe Islands are a collection of rugged green islands where waterfalls fall into the Atlantic Ocean, colorful villages cling to coastlines, and sheep outnumber people! Even during the summer months, it’s possible to find trails where your only companions are seabirds and the wind of the sea.
Bring a rain jacket, embrace the changing weather, and let the landscape surprise you.

Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein rarely appears on lists of Europe’s must-see destinations, yet that’s exactly what makes it special. This small Alpine principality offers peaceful hiking trails, mountain villages, vineyards, and castle views without the crowds found in her neighboring countries.

The Alentejo, Portugal

The Black Forest has inspired countless fairy tales, and it’s easy to understand why.

The Ardennes, Belgium

Throughout Scripture, we find God meeting people in deserts, on mountainsides, beside quiet lakes, and in gardens. Elijah heard the Lord not in the wind or the earthquake, but in a gentle whisper. Jesus withdrew from the crowds to pray. Even Psalm 23 begins not with activity, but with rest: “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.”
Perhaps that’s why peaceful places affect us so deeply. They don’t merely give us a break from our schedules. They remind us who we are when the noise fades away.
