Mornings set the tone for the day, so why not start yours with Jesus? Before the notifications, errands, and endless to-do lists begin, make a little room for prayer and protect your day.
Here are 3 ways to spend time with Jesus in the morning.

Morning Routines Make Us
First things first: some mornings need a little less noise.
Before the phone starts buzzing and the day starts asking for your attention, give yourself a few quiet minutes. Open your Bible. Make a cup of coffee or tea. Sit somewhere with natural light. Nothing elaborate is required. The point is to sit in grace.
A simple morning devotion sets the tone for your day before anything else can! Read a short passage, then ask three questions: What does this show me about Jesus? What does it ask of me today? Where do I need His help? Let your answers be completely honest.

Gratitude Practices
Gratitude works the same way. Instead of waiting for a big blessing to feel thankful, name the little ones: a good night’s sleep, a safe home, a friend who checked in, a meal waiting in the kitchen, a chance to begin again. Scripture reminds us to give thanks in all circumstances, not because every circumstance is easy, but because God remains faithful in every one.
Try a five-minute gratitude list. Write down three things you are thankful for, one person you want to pray for, and one thing you are placing in God’s hands. Then go on through your day!

Slowing Down
Slowing down is the last piece of the puzzle, and the difference it makes is incredible. Notice the breeze through an open window. Pay attention to the taste of your breakfast. Take your walk without turning it into content! These small pauses help you see the blessings God has given you.

Grace is Everywhere
Grace isn’t just for retreats, vacations, or perfect mornings. It meets you in laundry, traffic, deadlines, and ordinary Tuesday coffee.
Start small. Start grateful. Start with God.
Try this this week: set your alarm ten minutes earlier, keep your phone out of reach, and begin with one Scripture passage and a short prayer. If the morning gets messy afterward, that’s okay. Grace is still grace when the toast burns and the schedule changes.
Keep it simple, keep it sincere, and let your experience serve the bigger purpose: making room for faith, beauty, connection, and the people who make a journey worth remembering.
